Adding an Offensive Titans Legend to the 2023 Roster

Recently, Greg Arias put out his inaugural All-Time Titans list for offense and defense. If the Titans could add one player from the list to the offense in 2023, who would it be?

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans are getting ready to enter their 26th season in Tennessee and they have had a number of fantastic players. Our writer Greg Arias recently published his All-Time Titans list for the offensive side of the ball, but if the Titans could take one player from the past and add them to this year's team, who would they choose?

1. Michael Roos, OT 2005-2014

Michael Roos would be my top choice for the Titans' current offense. Roos was a two-time All-Pro and one-time pro-bowler. He played and started in every possible game until missing one contest in his penultimate season. He was consistent and a high-level player.

Right now, the Titans have free-agent signing Andre Dillard at left tackle and their starting right tackle, Nicholas Petit-Frere, is suspended the first six games of the year. Petit-Frere struggled in year one and, say what you will, but I am skeptical of Dillard being a starting-level tackle. Roos would lock down a tackle spot and be one of the league's best.

2. Derrick Mason, WR 1997-2004

The Titans desperately need help at wide receiver, so my second choice would be Mason. Mason is the best receiver in team history if you consider longevity. A.J. Brown was certainly the most talented receiver the team has ever had, but, well, yeah.

Treylon Burks is the Titans' top receiver currently and he is a big, physical player who would fit well with Mason's crafty and speedy approach. Mason may not have been a certified top receiver in the league during his prime, but he would be a great addition to the 2023 offense.

3. Rob Bironas, K 2005-2013

Rest in peace, Rob Bironas. The Titans could use the greatest kicker in team history about now. Bironas played every game during his Titans career and was a stud. Bironas best season was in 2007 when he was named first-team all-pro. Bironas made over 99% of his extra points and over 85% of his career field goals.

The Titans' current kicker situation is a bit of a mess. They are banking on two players who have never kicked in a NFL game before. Second-year player Caleb Shudak missed all of last year with an injury and undrafted free agent Trey Wolff just got out of college. Adding the best kicker in franchise history would do wonders.
