NASHVILLE — When Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel spoke with the media on Wednesday, following the final practice of the 2023 offseason program, he shared a thought about the next five weeks.

While the players on the team's roster are solid citizens who have regularly avoided run-ins with the law that once plagued this organization. It's something on Vrabel's mind, though he didn't mention it, along with other things like staying in shape and being prepared for the rigors of training camp when those players return to Nashville. to begin preparations for the 2023 season.

"It's the most critical five weeks of the season,'' said Vrabel of the player's time away from the team's facilities. "Just in my experience as a player and a coach, what you do away from here when things aren't planned or structured, are you able to get into a routine?"

"So what I want them to do is go prepare for a long season, a long grueling season of professional football," continued Vrabel. "That's what I want them to do. So we try to give them drills in extended individual time today (Wednesday), so the coaches could review those drills they can do with their trainer, or on their own, or whatever they're doing."

"Giving them some ideas and then obviously, making sure that whoever they're working out with will have some ideas, and the players will have some ideas. concluded Vrabel. "But it's the most critical five weeks of the season."

The Titans will return to Nashville, and report for the opening of training camp on Tuesday, July 25. They are looking to rebound after an injury-riddled 7-10 season that included losses in their final seven games. The last one was a loss to Jacksonville, and it cost them the AFC South title. Jacksonville is favored to the win the division again, according to the odds on Fanduel. The Jaguars are favored at minus-160 and the Titans are second at plus-360.
