NASHVILLE — The most important player acquisition stages of the offseason are over for the Tennessee Titans now. They have complete the first few stages of free agency and finished the 2023 NFL draft process. Now, we can sit back, examine the roster and decide what questions still need to be answered.

How to fix wide receiver?

The Tennessee Titans biggest question coming into the offseason may still be their biggest question now. What the heck is going on at wide receiver. The Titans have second-year players Treylon Burks and Kyle Philips is their best two options, but both are still young players who both dealt with injury last year. Philips caught eight passes. That is worrisome.

The Titans brought back depth player Nick Westbrook-Ikhine along with adding veteran Chris Moore and seventh-round rookie Colton Dowell. Practice squad holdovers Racey McMath, Mason Kinsey and Reggie Roberson Jr. are also still on the roster. All that needs to be said is Mike Vrabel has more career touchdown catches in the NFL than anyone currently on the depth chart at receiver.

What can the Titans do? There only options here are to trade for a player, add someone who is cut by another team in the coming months or sign someone off the free agent market. With the options that are realistically available, the Titans likely won't be able to answer this question in a legitimate way until 2024.

What happens at quarterback?

We can't call the move shocking considering all of the pre-draft noise about the Titans' interest in quarterbacks, but seeing the Titans trade up for Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft was still jarring to watch. Levis adds to veteran Ryan Tannehill and second-year player Malik Willis to create a weird situation in the quarterback room.

Tannehill is on the last year of his contract and has been rumored to be a trade option for the Titans. Levis comes in with familiarity with the scheme the Titans run which gives him an advantage in terms of getting ready to play right away. Willis, on the other hand, probably is fighting for a roster spot at this point.

Will the Titans trade Tannehill and clear the way for Levis? Will the Titans hold on to Tannehill in a lame-duck season and let Levis sit and learn? That will be the biggest talking point for the Titans locally and nationally as we move towards training camp. Speaking of a trade...

Will the Titans trade one of their stars?

We mentioned earlier the Tannehill trader rumors, but we have also heard some Derrick Henry trade rumors as well. The Titans drafting a quarterback and running back early in the draft doesn't quiet those conversations either. Also, Titans' general manager Ran Carthon did confirm the team asked safety Kevin Byard to take a pay cut and there is some chance Byard is dealt as well. The Titans have limited draft capital in 2024 and don't look to be a competitive team in 2023 when you consider the roster. It may be in the Titans' best interest to recoup some picks and go with a youth movement in 2023.
