Tennessee Titans' DeAndre Hopkins Ranked Top Ten in Madden NFL 24 WR Ratings
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans had one of the worst group of wide receivers in the NFL before Sunday, but with the signing of All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins, the Titans all the sudden find themselves with a top-ten receiver according to this year's ratings on Madden NFL 2024.
Madden creator EA Sports put out their rankings for some of the best wide receivers in the NFL today and the newest Tennessee Titans was rated as a 93 overall. Coming in as the seventh-highest rated player at the position.
At the end of the day, video game ratings won't determine anything out on the field, but the real point here is just how monumentally different the Titans talent at the receiver spot is now compared to before the Hopkins move.
Even a version of Hopkins who isn't necessarily worthy of such a high rating would be a blessing to this team with the state of the receiver room. Here Hopkins is ranked in the top 10, and of course that would be a wonderful outcome for the team, but even if the Titans get top-20 production, they will be elated considering what they are paying Hopkins.
Also, we do have to point out the most comedic thing about this list. It would be impossible to ignore the fact that Hopkins is rated higher than former-Titan A.J. Brown. While that is certainly debatable, just seeing it has to make you chuckle.
If Hopkins does live up to this rating and outperform Brown, it will be one of the most extreme cases of landing on your feet in NFL history. New general manager Ran Carthon will be able to undo former general manager Jon Robinson's biggest mistake not only immediately, but with a player making half the money.
Trying to predict what actually happens with Hopkins in the season ahead is a fool's errand, but watching it unfold will certainly be entertaining. If Titans fans are lucky and Madden is right, 2023 is going to be even more entertaining than we can imagine.
