Will Levis Practices in Full on Wednesday as Titans Prepare For Houston Texans Rematch
The Tennessee Titans lost 19-16 in overtime against the Houston Texans in Week 15 and just two weeks later they are set to face off again. There were major injuries suffered in the previous matchup and the Titans are still clearly feeling those affects as they prepare for the rematch.
The Tennessee Titans had 12 players marked as limited on Wednesday including multiple starters on both sides of the ball. That is after already being without the multiple starters placed on injured reserve after that Week 15 game.
The biggest news though comes from a player who was listed as a full participant and that was starting quarterback Will Levis. Levis only participated in Week 16's Friday practice and was very limited. Levis looked like a different person on Wednesday, moving smoothly and looking unimpaired.
Levis was also injured against the Texans in their last contest when he was bent backwards on a sack at the end of the game. The Titans gave up seven sacks in that game and the offensive line has not improved while the Texans could be getting back starters in their pass rush group. A great chance for Levis to develop, I guess.
Keeping Levis upright and productive will be key as the Titans ran for 66 yards on 30 attempts in Week 15. Without the presence of a run game or pass blocking, Levis will surely be able to be a better football player simply due to being on the field, so some say.
For the Texans, they also are seeing the return of their starting quarterback as C.J. Stroud was limited on Wednesday in his return from a concussion suffered in Week 14. Stroud will look to take on the Titans for the first time in his career
