WATCH: Tennessee Titans Release Highlight Video from Week 1 of Training Camp
NASHVILLE — Tennessee Titans' training camp is in full swing and we are now a week into the proceeding. There have been a lot of highlights and excitement and the Titans' social media team tried to capture that in a compilation video of the first week.
The first few clips feature two of the biggest stars of camp so far in DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks. This is likely the best pair of receivers the Titans have had since A.J. Brown and Corey Davis in 2020 and has a chance to be what folks thought we would get from Brown and Julio Jones in 2021.
The Titans then take us into the trenches. We get Jeffery Simmons working against Daniel Brunskill in a drill all about working on angles. We also get a peak at some other Titans offensive linemen working on technique with a few combination-block drills.
It wasn't all about the dirty work though as we get some Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis individual highlights followed by some nice clips of Titans' wide receivers. We get a beautiful shot of Johnathan Ward(#33) faking out Kevin Rader(#86) and Kyle Philips(#18) getting separation with a nice route .
Then we are back to Tannehill slinging the pill and looking good doing it. Tannehill seems to have a little more pop in his step this training camp and obviously it could have to do with the two young quarterbacks trying to take his job.
Completion to Burks and Hopkins are sure to get Titans fans fired up this fall, so it has to bring some excitement to see some catches from both next in the video. Burks makes a great sideline catch before Hopkins has a nice run-after-catch opportunity.
As we draw towards the conclusion of the video, we see Hopkins again make a nice catch and Derrick Henry entering the fray. Henry takes a short pass down the sideline with a ton of room to run. Henry set career highs last year in catches and receiving yards, so that should continue to grow as a part of his game.
The Titans will be back on the practice field on Thursday where more highlights will inevitably be made, but it also won't be long until the Titans play their first preseason game in 10 days. Then the zoomed in angles and tricks the Titans' media group try to play will be lifted and we can see this team with no restrictions.
