Tennessee Titans Release Thursday Injury Report for Week 6 Matchup with Baltimore Ravens, Treylon Burks Ruled Out for Third Straight
The Tennessee Titans will fly over to London for their Week 6 game against the Baltimore Ravens, but that flight wont' include three players who have already been ruled out. Linebacker Luke Gifford, safety Elijah Molden and wide receiver Treylon Burks, who will be missing his third straight game, will not travel with the team.
The Titans' flight will include defensive tackle Teair Tart and offensive lineman Aaron Brewer, both who warrant watching. Tart missed last week's game against the Indianapolis Colts and Brewer was downgraded on Thursday to a non-participant due to a neck injury after being limited in Wednesday's session.
Tart missing a second straight game would be a big loss. His absence was felt on the field last week to the tune of 193 rushing yards for the Colts. Tart's ability to take on two blockers at once and hold his ground allows the entire run defense to operate and puts the math back in the Titans' favor. We'd likely see a combination of Kyle Peko, Naquan Jones and Jaleel Johnson as replacements.
Brewer is a more interesting discussion. The center position is vital because that is who makes calls for the entire offensive and losing that player midweek would likely be tough to deal with.
However, Brewer has been struggling. Brewer is simply undersized at 6-foot-1, nearly 290 pounds. The move to center from guard should help, but there is only so much the move can do to limit Brewer's downside.
Brewer has given up two sacks this season. He's also allowed the second-most pressures of the offensive linemen with 10. Most of the criticism for the offensive line has gone towards left tackle Andre Dillard, but Brewer actually is graded lower in pass protection according to Pro Football Focus.
Jeffery Simmons was upgraded from a non-participant on Wednesday to limited on Thursday. While it was only limited, any upgrade throughout the week should be considered a positive.
We will want to keep an eye on starting inside linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair as well who was limited in both practice sessions so far, but other than that, no major or minor signs of concern to discuss.
