NASHVILLE - Former Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan has filed a lawsuit against the “doctor/entities” that performed the reconstructive surgery on his torn ACL in 2020.

Lewan recently made the news of his action public on his podcast “Bussin With The Boys. He also shared the information via his Twitter account, where he wrote about the impetus for his legal action.

“There have been a lot of questions regarding the future of my career in the NFL,” Lewan wrote via Twitter. “Although this doesn’t answer every question, I believe it’s important for you all to know what’s transpired since my ACL surgery in October 2020.

Lewan went into further detail during the podcast, sharing the following.

“I’m in an unfortunate circumstance where I have had to file a lawsuit against the people and entities that are involved with my surgery from October 2020. I wanted to take this opportunity on this podcast to let all of you know what’s been going on with my life.

"Fans that have followed my career, seeing those years before the ACL surgery and then after the ACL surgery, kinda wondering what in the hell is happening with Lewan. A lot of times there are areas for vulnerability and I really wanted to make sure that I was able to share this with you guys. Because since 2020, this has sucked.”

Lewn injured the knee against the Houston Texans in the fifth game of the 2020 season and left it before its conclusion. The Titans would win the game en route to a 5-0 start to the season.

Lewan was released in a salary cap move following the conclusion of the 2022 season, another season in which Lewan suffered a season-ending injury early in the year.

Never a stranger to controversy or a good battle during his time with the Titans, this one will be interesting to follow as it moves forward.
