NASHVILLE - Confidence for a player in the NFL is a good thing; gaining it takes some individuals longer than others.

Entering his second season with the Tennessee Titans, receiver Treylon Burks is ready to turn the corner from a sometimes uneasy rookie to a more veteran player in terms of his confidence in knowing the offense and having his body right for the grind of an NFL season.

Burks met with local media on Tuesday for the first time this season and was asked about his confidence entering year two of the team's offseason program.

"I would say it's given me a lot of confidence coming in off another offense, I'd say being clueless coming in as a rookie like I was last year," said Burks. "Just actually being around the coaches this offseason, studying with them, figuring out what they want me to do, and just being on top of my game."

While other players left Nashville and trained independently, Burks remained in Nashville to take advantage of the team facilities. Burks was asked how that has helped him in the voluntary workouts.

"Yes, one hundred percent, I mean, I feel great, said Burks. "I'm running fast, not having any problems breathing, and really just having fun, man. I'm in a good place and state of mind and just happy."    As for learning and becoming more comfortable with new offensive coordinator Tim Kelly's program, Burks shared this thought.

"Honestly, it really reminds me of my sophomore year in college with Coach (Kendall) Briles coming in and just having that tempo on offense, Said Burks. "And just knowing that there's so much in this offense that we have now that you can just go be free and have fun and just win games."

It's all about learning from last season and growing as a player for Burks.

"My biggest thing was not repeating what I did last year, coming into the offseason, and I felt like I mastered that and to keep going and getting better with a lot of the formations and concepts of our new stuff, and just having fun really. That's the main thing, just having fun. Not having that stress on coming in as a rookie and trying to prove this guy this and the coaches this. Just having fun.
