Titans Add XFL Standout TE Alize Mack to Roster
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans are in need of playmakers on the offense side of the ball and the Titans continue to try and find some in unconventional ways. On Wednesday, we got a report that the Titans are signing tight end Alize Mack.
Mack is an athletic tight end who stands at 6'4" and 250 pounds. Mack was a prototypical project pick coming into the NFL. He has great size and good athleticism. Mack posted an RAS(Relative Athletic Score) of 8.54. Mack has all the measurables you want, but needs some development to put his athletic gifts to use.
Mack is a former draft pick of the New Orleans Saints in the last round of the 2019 NFL draft. Mack also spent some time in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. Mack never played in a game during his time with NFL franchises.
Mack recently popped up in the XFL with the San Antonio Brahmas. Mack played in ten games and caught 28 passes for 230 yards and one touchdown. It was a nice showing for Mack and resulted in his opportunity with the Titans now.
Prior to his years in professional football, Mack was a standout for Notre Dame football. Mack played 35 games in South Bend in four seasons and put up good numbers. Mack caught 68 passes for 716 yards and four touchdowns for the Fighting Irish.
Mack will have a chance to join the Titans now and grab a roster spot. The Titans have Chig Okonkwo, Josh Whyle and Trevon Wesco as locks to make the roster at the position, but the Titans would certainly keep four tight ends, if needed and Mack could challenge for a fourth spot.
