Helm also received some stitches under his eye after Penguins forward Beau Bennett's high-stick but stayed in the game. He will not practice on Tuesday.

Center Pavel Datsyukinjured his shoulder against the Penguins and will be re-evaluated.
Helm, 27, scored 12 goals and had eight assists in 42 games last season with the Red Wings.
