Ducks sign Ilya Bryzgalov; Corey Perry (knee) out 3-4 weeks
Despite a season-opening 6-4 loss to the Penguins, Gibson’s four-game stint with the Ducks was impressive. He posted a 2-2 record with a .927 save percentage, but he has been sidelined since early November with a groin injury. His absence in net, coupled with the recent signing of Ilya Bryzgalov to back up Frederik Andersen leaves little room for the netminder to spend uncontested time with the big club.
He will likely log most of his time with Norfolk this season.
