The pony league world series is a double-elimination tournament held at Lew Hays Pony Field in Washington, Pennsylvania. 10 teams qualified for the world series and have their sights set on coming home with a championship.
Hagerstown won the east zone to qualify for a record 15th time. It is a U.S.-record number of times to qualify for the world series, but despite the amount of times it has made it to the tournament, it has yet to win a championship and this year it is looking to break that streak.
Bay County is looking to send Hagerstown to the losers bracket with a win on Friday as it looks to become just the second team from Michigan to win the world series. The last time a team from Michigan won was back in 1961.
