During the regular season these teams split the season series with the Broncos winning the first game 68-59 and the Aztecs evening up the series with a 79-54 win two weeks later.
In the first game the Broncos controlled the pace after jumping out to a 27-9 lead. They held on to just a nine-point win led by Natalie Pasco with 15 points on 4-10 shooting from three-point range. The Rebels could not find any rhythm shooting all game, finishing 6-for-30 from three and shooting 35.2 percent from the field overall.
Then in the second game the Rebels remedied their poor shooting, going 23-for-46 from two and 7-for-14 from three, controlling the pace. Adryana Quezada (19 points) and Kim Villalobos (17 points) led the way for the Rebels in scoring while the Broncos only had one double-figure scorer in Pasco (15 points).
