The PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs are here with the first event of the playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship. There will be 125 golfers in this tournament competing for 70 spots in the BMW Championship ultimately seeking one of 30 spots in the Tour Championship at the end of August.

A lot is on the line for golfers in this event. Currently, Scottie Scheffler leads the pack with 3,556 FedEx Cup points. He is followed by Cam Smith at 2,335 and Sam Burns at 2,275. Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay round out the top five.
Some of the best golfers in this tournament are coming off of two or three-week breaks with many not having played in a tournament since the U.S. Open. Abraham Ancer won the 2021 FedEx St. Jude Championship after a sudden-death playoff with Sam Burns and Hideki Matsuyama.
Players will tee off today to start the tournament with Tony Finau, Justin Thomas and Cameron Young as the marquee group showcasing every shot from each player. The two featured groups will include Jordan Spieth, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Max Homa followed by Scheffler, Cameron Smith and Burns.
