BC Lions quarterback Vernon Adams is getting some help on offense.

The team added three Americans to the roster, signing wide receiver Jadakis Bonds, wide receiver Jalen Sample and running back Percy Agyei-Obese.

Bonds signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers last year. He had 180 receptions for 2,731 yards and 34 touchdowns in 40 games at Hampton. He's the school’s all-time leader in receiving touchdowns and is top three in receptions and yards.

Bonds was released by the Packers on Aug. 29 after catching two passes for 60 yards, including a 52-yard reception, in Green Bay's preseason finale.

Sample spent 2023 training camp with the Washington Commanders after going undrafted out of Minnesota State. He was released on Aug. 20. He had 114 receptions for 1,898 yards and 14 touchdowns in 42 games. Sample was named to the All-NSIC Team in 2022.

Agyei-Obese played 60 games with James Madison, where he rushed for 3,503 yards and 39 touchdowns. He earned two All-American selections in his college career. Agyei-Obese is among James Madison's top four career rushing leaders in touchdowns, attempts, yards, and scoring.

Earlier in the week, the Lions added three American defensive players to the roster. The team announced the signings of defensive back Lawrence Woods III, linebacker Jake Carlock and defensive lineman Janathian Turner.

BC finished last year with a 12-6 overall record losing in the West Final against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
