Alabama Golfer Canon Claycomb on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 52: Aug. 3, 2023

Senior Canon Claycomb joins the show to talk about his career with the Crimson Tide, his favorite milkshake memory and his goals for his final year at The Capstone.

The Thursday episode of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" featured star Alabama golfer Canon Claycomb. The Kentuckian is returning to Tuscaloosa for his fifth-year and spent time with the show outlining what went into his decision to stay for another season.

Claycomb highlighted and discussed his talented teammates, including Nick Dunlap and Thomas Ponder. Dunlap recently qualified for the Walker Cup and had an immediate impact on the Alabama program as just a freshman.

Head coach Jay Seawell is a two-time national champion and maintains a high standard for the Alabama program. Claycomb explains to the audience what makes Seawell special as a golf coach must have a different approach than a football coach.

One of Seawell's traditions is to enjoy milkshakes after victories and the senior golfer wasn't shy about which milkshake memory stands out the most to him during his time with the Tide.

Claycomb let the audience know how he likes to spend his time when he's not on a golf course, what he'll be receiving his degree in this December and what event he'd most like to win this coming season.

Check out the episode to get to know one of the Tide's best golfers and consider supporting the golf program by joining The Swinging Elephant Booster Club to help Claycomb and the other golfers as they focus on their game.
