TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Former Alabama wide receiver Tyler Harrell is returning to the ACC.

Just one year after transferring to the Crimson Tide from Louisville, Harrell is transferring to Miami.

A Miami, Fla. native, Harrell is returning home to play for the Hurricanes.

It was a lackluster season in Tuscaloosa for Harrell. Expected to have a big impact, Harrell did quite the opposite — finishing the season with just two receptions for 18 yards in six games.

For the Cardinals in 2021-22, Harrell had 18 catches for 523 yards and six touchdowns — a whopping 29.1 yards per catch.

Some fans hoped Harrell would fill the void of Jameson Williams, who exploded onto the scene in his lone year at Alabama in 2021-22.

It didn't work out that way for Harrell.

Harrell is the fifth wide receiver from last season's team to transfer this offseason — joining Traeshon Holden (Oregon), JoJo Earle (TCU), Christian Leary (Georgia Tech) and Aaron Anderson (LSU).
