Former Alabama safety Kareem Jackson will be wearing the orange crush for at least one more season.

Jackson, who's entering his 14th season in the NFL, got a one-year deal for a fifth season with the Denver Broncos. Jackson, 35, was a first-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2010.

Jackson had 94 total (55 solo) tackles last season. He has four interceptions during his time with the Broncos, who allowed the 13th-fewest passing yards in the league last season.

At Alabama, Jackson was part of the 2009 national championship squad and the 2008 SEC West championship team which went undefeated in the regular season.

He only spent three years in college, logging 106 solo tackles and five interceptions in 41 games. In his NFL career, he has 700 solo tackles and 20 picks.

Jackson joined the Broncos as a free agent after the 2018 season. Originally, he was on a three-year contract, the option on which the team declined in the 2020-21 offseason. For the past three seasons, he has signed one-year contracts to stay with the team. He played in all 17 games in 2022.
