Tre Johnson, a 5-star shooting guard and consensus top-5 prospect in the Class of 2024, has scheduled a visit to Alabama on Sept. 15, according to a report from 247Sports' Brandon Jenkins.

The report comes just over two months after Johnson announced Alabama as one of six finalists for his commitment. The rest of Johnson's top six consists of Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky and Texas.

Johnson has already visited four of his finalists, being Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky and Texas. He has not scheduled a visit for Arkansas as of today.

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Johnson stands at 6-foot-5 and boasts elite shotmaking skills to go along with a sharp handle and a quick first step that makes him a dangerous scorer.

Johnson is the second 5-star to schedule a visit with Alabama in the past week, after fellow guard and Wisconsin native Kon Knueppel was reported to be slated to visit Tuscaloosa one weekend before him.

Head coach Nate Oats has put himself in a great position with any other 2024 prospects, and while the Crimson Tide doesn't have any commitments yet, the foundations are being laid for a very strong class when it's all said and done.

Alabama also made the cut list for 5-star Liam McNeely, and hosted high-4-star forward Aiden Sherrell last fall. The Crimson Tide is also heavily involved with 5-star Boogie Fland and 4-star Jase Richardson, among others.
