The Alabama recruiting momentum continues to roll downhill as the Crimson Tide picks up its 17th commitment in the 2024 class.

Red Morgan, a 3-star prospect out of Central Phenix City took to social media on Wednesday to announce he would be flipping his commitment from Florida State to the University of Alabama.

Morgan gives the Tide its second safety flip in two days after Peyton Woodyard joined the recruiting class on Tuesday.

The safety is considered the No. 54 overall safety and the No. 29 overall prospect in the state of Alabama by the 247Sports composite. He turned heads in Tuscaloosa by performing well in summer camp and subsequently received a scholarship offer from the Crimson Tide.

Alabama assigned offensive line coach Eric Wolford and defensive coordinator Kevin Steele to his recruitment and the pair were able to flip him away from his July commitment to Florida State.

As a junior he accumulated 50 tackles with two interceptions and four pass breakups as the Red Devils advanced to the Alabama 7A semifinals.

Interestingly enough, Morgan is teammates with Isaia Faga, one of the Tide's two defensive lineman in the 2024 class.

His commitment jumps Alabama into the No. 4 recruiting class ranking by 247Sports with more prospects expected to join as the week continues.
