The Alabama Crimson Tide football program adds its 11th member of the 2024 recruiting class in linebacker Justin Okoronkwo.

Okoronkwo announced his commitment on social media on Sunday morning, after announcing on Saturday his decommitment from Maryland.

The 6-3, 225 pound linebacker currently plays for the Fursty Razorbacks, an American football team in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany, right outside of Munich.

“The culture is one-of-a-kind,” Okoronkwo told On3 Sports after his June camp visit. “‘Bama is exactly what you expect it to be. I like the culture that’s at Bama. It’s a place where everybody goes to compete to be the very best.”

Okoronkwo has only played three seasons of organized football and has played safety, linebacker while also returning kicks.

The international linebacker got on the Crimson Tide's radar due to his connection to Brandon Collier with PPI Recruits, an international scouting service looking to place elite prospects in college football.

He's attended Tuscaloosa twice for camps and this past June reportedly clocked a 4.54 second 40-yard dash.

The Crimson Tide now has three linebackers in the 2024 class in Okoronkwo, Sterling Dixon and Cayden Jones.

The Crimson Tide currently sits with the No. 17 overall 2024 recruiting class according to 247Sports with 11 commitments.

Okoronkwo's addition could be the first of three commitments the Crimson Tide receives on Sunday as 2024 cornerback Zabien Brown and 2026 offensive lineman Zykie Helton are also making decisions.
