SEC Shorts Takes on Alternate Universe That Was the 2007 Football Season
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A lot of our audience is probably too young to remember, but there was once an upside down world in college football when Arkansas and Mississippi State were taking down Nick Saban's Crimson Tide, the Hogs, with three NFL starters in the backfield, took down the No. 1 team and eventual national champion, and Missouri was in line to go to the national championship game. Even Vanderbilt was good.
It was a crazy time, and this morning SEC Shorts decided to hop back in the time machine to take a comedic look at one of the wildest years in college football history. No one could hold onto the No. 1 spot in all of college football and being ranked No. 2 was a curse no one wanted as second place fell nearly every week. Bad teams beat highly ranked teams left and right, setting up an interesting parallel to the current SEC world that the SEC Shorts team couldn't resist hitting on.
