Jay Williams says the crowd at Coleman Coliseum was like a "tennis match" when Alabama played Clemson
We are currently in the middle of the ACC/SEC Challenge, where the two conferences face off to see who reigns supreme on the hardwood.
The SEC leads 4-3 after day one thanks to big wins from Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, and Ole Miss.
One of the teams that lost in the ACC/SEC Challenge was Alabama as Clemson came to Coleman Coliseum and beat the Tide 85-77.
This was #23 Alabama's second loss of the year as the Crimson Tide fell to 5-2.
Jay Williams, who was calling the game, had this to say about the atmosphere in Coleman Coliseum, "What's the point of playing at home if it's not going to have a home-court advantage? Like this doesn't feel like a home-court advantage at all for Alabama. This place is not packed, the fans don't seem to be engaged. It seems to be more like a tennis match, and by the way, Clemson has been taking the air out of the building."
It makes sense that with the football season still ongoing, the crowd won't be all there, but it shouldn't be hard to get up when you have an opportunity to represent the SEC.
Hopefully, a strong performance from the SEC this evening will bring the first annual ACC/SEC Challenge to the South.
