Auburn defensive coordinator owns fan on twitter after UGA loss
Georgia's Brock Bowers played a significant role in the Bulldogs' 27-20 win over Auburn on Saturday.
Bowers posted a monster stat line, catching eight passes for 187 yards and the go-ahead touchdown that gave Georgia the lead late.
A disgruntled fan took to Twitter to complain about Bowers' performance, claiming that Auburn's defense did not bracket him in an attempt to slow him down.
"Yet we didn’t double/bracket this guy," the fan said with a clown emoji. He then decided to tag Auburn defensive coordinator Ron Roberts in the tweet.
Roberts saw it, and decided to quote tweet the fan.
"Don’t know what game u we’re watching! He was bracketed most of the day," Roberts responded.
For Auburn's defense to have created two turnovers - both of which immediately led to touchdowns for the Tigers' struggling offense - and to have kept Auburn in it until the very end is impressive.
No moral victories here, but Roberts and Auburn's defense tried.
