Auburn quarterback gives high praise for standout freshman
Auburn has an extremely talented 2024 recruiting class coming into town that features a lot of five and four-star players.
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze made recruiting a priority when he got to the Plains and backed that by putting together the number seven overall high school recruiting class, according to 247Sports. You will see a lot of these young players on the field as true freshmen, so Coach Freeze has a lot of trust in the young players he has recruited.
One player you could see on the field early into his Auburn career is receiver Bryce Cain. He is a 5'11 speedster who 247Sports composite rankings has as the 191st best player in the 2024 class. Cain has track speed and has already turned heads during his short time on campus. He is a player that will see the field in some capacity as a true freshman and will catch a lot of passes in his Auburn career.
Auburn quarterback Hank Brown joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast to discuss the off-season. Host Zac Blackerby asked Brown what he has seen out of Cain so far. Brown had this to say about freshman wide receiver, "Yeah, you know, I'd say my favorite thing about Bryce is he's just a competitor. He shows up to work every day and is not afraid of anyone, truthfully. And I just love that about him, and he's going to be special for sure. Can't have enough good things to say about him."
Cain might not be ranked as high as some of the other receivers in this class, like Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson, but he is a great player who will make electric plays with his speed in Jordan-Hare Stadium for a long time.
