Former Auburn offensive coordinator Mike Bobo returning to Georgia as OC
Mike Bobo has found his way back into the offensive coordinator's chair at Georgia.
Bobo, formerly an OC with the Bulldogs from 2007-2014, has returned to his role in Athens, per Seth Emerson of The Athletic. Bobo also previously spent time as Auburn's offensive coordinator in 2021, Bryan Harsin's first year on the job for the Tigers.
Following his stint as OC at Georgia, Bobo left to become the head coach of the Colorado State Rams from 2015-2019. He went 28-35 as a head coach and mutually agreed to part ways with the Rams following the conclusion of the 2019 season.
Bobo was then hired as OC for the South Carolina Gamecocks underneath Will Muschamp. Muschamp was fired seven games into the season and Bobo took over as interim head coach, going 0-3 in the process.
Bryan Harsin hired Bobo during his first season on the Plains and the Tigers' offense struggled, finishing outside the top half of the SEC in total offense for the third time in the last four seasons. Bobo was promptly fired at the end of the regular season.
Georgia called him back home in 2022, bringing Bobo in as an offensive analyst under Kirby Smart and Todd Monken. After Monken left for the Baltimore Ravens, Mike Bobo was promoted to become Georgia's offensive coordinator for the first time in almost a decade.
