Jordan-Hare Stadium, Neville Arena named loudest college football/basketball duo
Neville Arena and Jordan-Hare Stadium are two of the loudest arenas/stadiums in college athletics.
Big Game Boomer - a content creator that thrives on wild, outlandish (and occasionally intentionally stupid) takes for engagement, decided to take to Twitter and post his top 25 best/worst college basketball arena nicknames.
According to BGB, the duo of Jordan-Hare Stadium and Neville Arena is the loudest in all of college sports.
The second closest program is Kansas State, with their duo of Fort Snyder and Bramlage Coliseum. The only other SEC team to make the top ten is Arkansas (Bud Walton Arena, Razorback Stadium).
During Auburn's matchup with Alabama last week, ESPN's Holly Rowe reported that Neville Arena reached 109 decibels in volume. The loudest college football environment she had witnessed last season was LSU, who reached 117 decibels.
Note the 93,200 seating capacity difference between Neville and Death Valley while also noting that Auburn has the smallest basketball arena in the SEC.
