Auburn OL Gunner Britton previews LSU game: 'These guys can become game wreckers'
Auburn's offensive line has shown improvement as the season has gone along. Gunner Britton has been a part of that growth.
Auburn will have its work cut out for it against LSU this week, but Britton is confident in Auburn's abilities.
Britton talked about what he has seen from LSU's defensive line and how important it will be to give the quarterbacks time.
"They are big, strong and athletic," Britton said. "That's kind of the theme in the SEC. These guys can become game wreckers if you give them space."
Head coach Hugh Freeze has implemented different sets for the offensive line to provide as much protection as possible. Britton spoke about what that process has looked like.
"There's about six different sets you can take on the offensive line," Britton said. "Different play action, who to I'd point... the quarterback has to know what we're doing and we have to know what he's doing."
Scheming has been a hot topic for this team. At times the offense has looked uncoordinated and Britton talked about how they have gone about fixing it.
"I think we have a good understanding of the scheme," Britton said. "Making sure all 11 of us are on the same page at the same time is a big thing. If you look at Georgia, Freeze said there are about 10 plays that make or break us beating the No. 1 team in the country."
Auburn's offensive line will have its work cut out for it, but it is ready for the challenge that LSU will present.
