Auburn Briefing: Basketball Gameday
The Auburn Tigers are back in action inside Neville Arena tonight for a matchup with the Virginia Tech Hokies as part of the first annual ACC/SEC Challenge.
Auburn picked up an 84-54 win over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in its last outing to improve to 4-1.
Virginia Tech participated in the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando last week and made it to the championship game before falling to No. 19 FAU.
Lynn Kidd and Sean Pedulla are players to watch for the Hokies.
Kidd, a 6-foot-10 center, co-leads Virginia Tech in scoring with 15.9 points per game and leads the team outright in rebounding with eight per game.
Pedulla, a 6-foot-1 guard, is the Hokies' co-leader in scoring and leads the team outright in assists with 5.1 per game.
Tipoff is set for 8:15 p.m. CT and the broadcast can be found on ESPN2.
Auburn football update
The transfer portal has not opened yet, but two Tigers have already voiced their intentions to enter their names into it once it opens.
Defensive linemen Stephen Johnson and Enyce Sledge are the Tigers who intend to depart.
Auburn women's basketball update
The women's basketball team will be back in action against the Clemson Tigers on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT and the game can be found on SEC Network.
