Langston Love Injury Update: Baylor Coach Scott Drew Provides Answer
A week after Baylor Bears men's basketball coach Scott Drew announced that guard LJ Cryer was cleared for all basketball related activities, more good news arrived Monday.
Per Drew, highly-touted guard Langston Love, who missed all his freshman year this past season after tearing his ACL in an October preseason scrimmage, has now been cleared for all basketball activities ahead of the start of the 2022-23 slate.
Love will now rejoin an elite backcourt that includes Baylor's 2021 leading-scorer Adam Flagler, dynamic freshman Keyonte George, and Cryer, who only played in 19 games last year as he dealt with a foot injury.
Originally a product of Steele (San Antonio/Cibolo) High School, Love transferred to prestigious Montverde Academy (Florida) to play with the best players in the country. He was on the same 2020-21 squad that includes NBA rookies like Detroit Pistons big man Jalen Duren and Orlando Magic wing Caleb Houstan.
Love was a part of Baylor's talented 2021 recruiting class that included San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan and Indiana Pacers wing Kendall Brown, who were selected in the 2022 NBA Draft in June.
Love will now get to make his Baylor debut when the Bears tip-off the 2022-23 season at home on Monday, Nov. 7 against Mississippi Valley State.
