Baylor Lineman on College Football America Dream Team
Baylor offensive tackle Connor Galvin was the only Bear to make the 2022 College Football America Yearbook Preseason FBS Dream Team, released this week.
The FBS Dream Team is the publication’s equivalent of a preseason All-America Team.
Galvin, a fifth-year senior, has appeared in 45 career games with 37 starts, mostly at left tackle. In 2021, he was selected All-America First Team (The Athletic) and All-America Third Team (AP). He was also named the 2021 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and All-Big 12 First Team offensive line.
The other Big 12 players that made the team include Texas running back Bijan Robinson, Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn, Baylor offensive lineman Connor Galvin, Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah and Iowa State defensive end Will McDonald IV in the Starting Lineup; Oklahoma State defensive lineman Collin Oliver in the Second String (second team); and Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the reserves (third team).
Instead of picking a first team, second team, and/or third team, the Dream Team is presented in the context of an actual Football Bowl Subdivision program. FBS teams are limited to 85 scholarships, and the College Football America Yearbook Dream Team is subject to these constraints.
The 2022 College Football America Yearbook features Houston quarterback Clayton Tune on the cover. Houston, BYU, Cincinnati and UCF will join the Big 12 in 2023.
