CINCINNATI — UC added its second transfer wide receiver this cycle in North Carolina A&T's Sterling Berkhalter.

The sophomore posted 28 catches, for 414 Yards, and 2 TDs on 14.8 yards per catch across 10 starts in 2022. Berkhalter was second on the team in yards and catches. He attended Princeton High School for a time before moving on to Georgia Prep Academy.

UC was his first Power Five offer (Dec. 27) as a player with three years of eligibility left. Cincinnati added Keyshawn Helton but otherwise sports a mostly bare cupboard at wide receiver right now, and the 6-foot-4, 188-pound playmaker is a nice addition.

As a sophomore transfer, Berkhalter has two seasons of eligibility left.

Louisville transfer wide receiver Dee Wiggins is also joining the UC wide receiver room.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver transferred to U of L from Miami last year, but missed most of the 2022 season after suffering a season-ending foot injury in the third game against Florida State.

Scott Satterfield's staff moved quickly to bring Wiggins in after he entered the transfer portal over the weekend.

He started each of the first three games of the season for Louisville, logging four receptions for 67 yards. Wiggins didn't do much at Miami in 2021 but the Florida native had 20 receptions for 335 yards and four touchdowns in 2019, then followed that up with 31 receptions for 358 yards and three touchdowns in 2020.

The 2023 campaign is his final season of eligibility.
