Drake London on Desmond Ridder: 'Re-Living His College Days Over Again'

Ridder is the set starter for Atlanta entering the 2023 season.

CINCINNATI — UC football legend Desmond Ridder is starting for the Atlanta Falcons this coming season on a timeline that looks eerily similar to the one he took at UC.

Falcons teammate and Ridder's top target, wide receiver Drake London, agrees.

"I could be wrong, but it's almost like he's re-living his college days over again," London told Terrin Waack. "Coming through his freshman year, he's behind someone. And then, his sophomore year campaign, he takes over. That's when everything started, the ball started rolling. It's kind of going in those steps as we see it right now, and I hope that it goes just like his college career because he killed it."

Ridder had to sit behind Hayden Moore as a freshman, then the journey really ramped up in 2018 and beyond. Ridder went on to win multiple AAC Offensive Player of the Year awards and ended his career as one of the winningest college quarterbacks ever.

Now Falcons fans are hoping for a redux in the Peach State.
