CINCINNATI — UC football head coach Scott Satterfield met with the media to close fall camp at Higher Ground on Friday. Satterfield highlighted how the team is returning to campus relatively injury-free.

Quarterback Emory Jones has had to miss a few practices this week due to a dental procedure but there have been no major injuries across the two-week run.

"Very successful with the injuries," Satterfield said. "We'll have all our guys ready to roll probably this coming week and that's a good thing. We gotta have our guys. One thing that worries me in a lot of years is depth and at certain key positions, you don't have as much as you'd like. Particularly when you start getting into the season. We have more depth in our D-Line room than anywhere. Those guys they can rotate probably three deep where we are still really solid. So really pleased with that group but there's a lot of positions where you got one sub and after that, it really drops off."

The biggest question is probably surrounding transfer tight end Joey Beljan

He suffered a serious injury in the spring which kept him out of the spring game. There is no official word on a return timeline, but he did get individual rehab work in during the lone practice I could make it to over the past few weeks.

Outside of that, UC is entering one of the easiest power conference schedules with a full deck of players. Depth is bound to get tested though, as the rough nature of a harder schedule compared to past years sets in.
