Pinging The Portal: Cincinnati Offers All-Sun Belt Wide Receiver Robert Lewis, Among Other Talents
CINCINNATI — The Bearcats football squad is moving forward with offers in the 2023 transfer portal cycle, including one for Duquesne cornerback Ayden Garnes.
Garnes was one of the best cover men in the FCS last season. He tallied 50 tackles and two interceptions en route to an elite 87.4 overall grade.
He boasted an 89.7 PFF grade across 315 coverage snaps. He holds two years of eligibility as the seventh-highest-graded FCS cornerback in the country this past season among qualified players.

UC also offered sophomore linebacker Khordae Sydnor out of Purdue.
Sydnor posted six tackles and two sacks this past season across 10 games. He tallied a 65.4 PFF grade across 157 snaps. The redshirt sophomore has two years of eligibility left.

The next portal offer went to Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis.
Lewis posted 70 catches this past season for 877 yards and seven touchdowns. It was good enough for the 5-foot-11, 185-pound talent to amass a solid 76.3 PFF grade across 759 snaps.
He has one year of eligibility remaining after earning third-team All-Sun Belt Honors in 2023.

Rolling to another offer for Ohio State senior safety Cam Martinez.
The two-time Michigan Mr. Football winner has two seasons of eligibility left after totaling two tackles across four games this past season. He posted a 63.9 PFF grade in 2022 and (175 snaps) and a 70.9 grade in 2021 (197 snaps).

The Bearcats offered Rhode Island safety Syeed Gibbs as well.
The FCS talent has three years of eligibility left after tallying 38 tackles and three interceptions this past season as a freshman.
It amassed to a nice 70.3 PFF grade, including a 72 mark across 313 coverage snaps.
Keeping it cooking with an offer for Old Dominion safety Terry Jones Jr.
The junior posted 104 tackles, one forced fumble, and four pass breakups this past season. He holds two years of eligibility after earning a career-high 74 PFF grade in 2023.
He posted a 69.1 mark across 365 coverage snaps.
Flipping to the offensive side of things to an offer for Wake Forest wide receiver Ke'Shawn Williams. The 5-foot-10 junior caught 38 passes this past season for 384 yards and one touchdown.
It bore out to a carer-low 73.1 PFF grade, but he's graded 74 or higher every other year of his career as a consistent weapon. he has one year of eligibility left

Another Wake Forest offer went out to wide receiver Wesley Grimes. The sophomore posted 20 catches for 339 yards and four TDs this past season.
It earned him a career-high 65.8 overall grade, hauling in 20-of-41 targets on the season. He holds two more years of eligibility entering his third college campaign.
We close this round in the portal with an offer for Eastern Michigan defensive end Mikah Coleman. The grad transfer notched 38 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 29 pressures and 4.5 sacks this past season.
It led to a 64.8 PFF grade across 445 snaps.
