CINCINNATI — Desmond Ridder will start for the Falcons in Week 12 against the Saints according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Bearcats legend has been Taylor Heinicke's backup for Atlanta's past two games (both losses). 

Ridder is 4-4 as a starter this season. He's completed 65.4% of his passes for 1,740 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions. He's also ran for 150 yards and four more scores. 

Atlanta (4-6) is on their bye week and firmly in the NFC South playoff mix behind the 5-5 Saints and 4-5 Buccaneers.
