CINCINNATI — UC's trenches just got some nice reinforcements for the 2023 season. Senior defense lineman Jowon Briggs announced he is returning to the school.

Briggs and Dontay Corleone were menaces in the middle this season. 

The former Virginia transfer posted 60 tackles (sixth on team) and 3 sacks (t-third on the team) in 2022. He helped the defense allow just 4.52 yards per play (fourth nationally).

The first-team All-AAC tackle should pair well with Corleone once again as Cincinnati fosters more depth along its defensive front this offseason.
