CINCINNATI — Former UC head coach Luke Fickell has had things settle in a bit at Wisconsin, giving him time to pen a nice thank-you letter to the city, players, and university as a whole.

"THANK YOU, CINCINNATI," Fickell wrote. "Coaching at the University of Cincinnati has been an honor and a rewarding experience that has afforded me the opportunity to learn and grow professionally and personally. I want to say thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be your Head Football Coach. To John Cunningham, President Neville Pinto, Ryan Hayes, and many others - thank you for all of your support."

Fickell is the all-time winningest head coach at UC (57 wins), passing Rick Minter (53 wins) this season. Among UC coaches to lead the program for at least 30 games, only Brian Kelly (85%) has a higher winning percentage than Fickell (76%).

He changed the outlook, national image, and culture at UC throughout six seasons in Clifton.

"To all of the players," Fickell continued. "I love you, I appreciate you, and I'll never forget you. You made me a better coach, person, father, and leader. I owe everything to the players that made our TEAM, program, and University shine. Thank you, UC & all of Cincinnati! Forever grateful, Luke Fickell."

Now Fickell is in Wisconsin, and UC is moving forward with Scott Satterfield

Greatness found a home at Nippert Stadium, creating memories and moments this fanbase will never forget.
