UC Lands Commitment From Three-Star 2023 Safety Jaydin Davis
CINCINNATI — UC just landed a commitment from high three-star safety Jaydin Davis out of Collins Hill (Georgia).
According to 247Sports Composite, Davis is the 477th-ranked player nationally and the 45th-ranked safety. On3 has him ranked as a four-star talent and the 28th-best safety.
Davis has plenty of potential in Bryan Brown's 3-4 defense. He showed a nice range in coverage on highlights and has the speed to turn interceptions into house calls.
At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Davis flies around with 4.49 speed as a havoc creator. He has a good motor and a nice knack for punch-out fumbles. That made up for a few reps where he got beat in coverage. The Bearcats sent Brown and linebackers coach Derek Nicholson down to Georgia this week and they were able to flip the talent.
He had previously committed to Louisville but now he's headed north. Satterfield & Co. should be in the mix with other Cardinal commits ahead of Signing Day on Dec. 21.
The safety room will have plenty of opportunity available in 2022 and Davis becomes the latest Cardinal to join UC after veteran lineman Luke Kandra transferred this week.
