Watch: Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner's First Career Interception, Safety
CINCINNATI — Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner continued proving he's one of the NFL's best cornerbacks with his first career interception on Sunday. The rookie picked off Miami Dolphins backup QB Skylar Thompson after his pass got batted at the line of scrimmage.
The rookie also scored his first NFL points earlier in the game with a safety by forcing an intentional grounding call on Dolphins starting QB Teddy Bridgewater.
Gardner entered the game t-fifth in the league with five pass breakups this season and hasn't needed any time to adjust as a pro. He ended up with one solo tackle, one interception, a safety, and a QB hit in the first half.
