We're just a couple of short months away from the start of college football season. In the ACC, we're just two weeks away from ACC Media Days (July 25th through the 27th). Students will begin to return to campus soon and teams will begin fall camp.

As we get closer and closer to the season, we're starting to get a better feel for what teams will look like. With transfers locked in and all freshmen now on campus, we have a clearer picture of teams' structures. With all of the moves and updates, new betting odds are popping up around college football. BetMGM recently released its updated win projections for FBS teams. Clemson fans may not love what they see.

Clemson hasn't lost more than two regular season games in over a decade.
Clemson hasn't lost more than two regular season games in over a decade

The online sportsbook has Clemson's over/under for wins in 2023 at just 9.5, a jarringly low number for a school that hasn't won less than 10 games since 2010, including the Covid shortened 2020 season.

Clemson's 2023 Football Schedule

  • Sept. 4 (Monday): at Duke
  • Sept. 9: vs. CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
  • Sept. 16: vs. FLORIDA ATLANTIC
  • Sept. 23: vs. FLORIDA STATE
  • Sept. 30: at Syracuse
  • Oct. 7: vs. WAKE FOREST
  • Oct. 14: Open Date
  • Oct. 21: at Miami (Fla.)
  • Oct. 28: at NC State
  • Nov. 4: vs. NOTRE DAME
  • Nov. 11: vs. GEORGIA TECH
  • Nov. 18: vs. NORTH CAROLINA
  • Nov. 25: at South Carolina

Tough matchups against Notre Dame, Florida State, and South Carolina may be where BetMGM sees the losses, but Clemson gets two of those at home and, outside of last season, has dominated South Carolina recently. It's hard to imagine the Tigers dropping 3 games in the 2023 regular season.
