After a slow recruiting start to the 2024 class that had fans wondering about the future state of their offensive line suddenly the Tigers seemed to have gained some momentum at that position. 3-star Ronan O'Connell, out of Franklin, Tennessee, came on board this week which marked the first o-line commitment gained by the Clemson staff this cycle.

Now there looks to be an even bigger fish on the hook that offensive line coach Thomas Austin is trying to reel in. Fletcher Westphal, a 4-star offensive lineman hailing from Leesburg, Virginia, boasts offers from major schools such as Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, and others. Westphal has measured in at a whopping 6'8.5 and 335 pounds, which instantly makes any coach's eyes light up especially when they see how he carries that weight and moves on the field.

The good news for Tiger fans is that 247 has crystal balled Westphal to Clemson. 247Sports currently has Westphal ranked as #247 nationally247 and the 20th-best offensive tackle in the country.
