Deion Sanders took time out of his day for a birthday call to a dear friend. Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson took another trip around the sun on Tuesday and was grateful to hear from Coach Prime. Sanders recently roasted Coach 'Ochocinco' for taking his top recruit, Jordan Seaton, to the wrong restaurant while visiting down in Miami. It was part of his first duties upon joining the Buffs. Prime initially denied Johnson's request to be on staff while making an appearance on 'Nightcap', but it seems like he'll be an analyst during the upcoming season. One of the few former NFL players associated with the program, including Hall-of-Famers Terrell Owens and Warren Sapp

Colorado enters a key part of the off-season period with a month left before Signing Day. The roster for next year is starting to take shape with a new wave of transfer players and recruits. Sanders and the Buffs have the 21st-ranked combined class for 2024. They're also the top-ranked transfer portal team for the second straight year.

It's clear to see that CU will be better going into Coach Prime's second year at the helm. What's going to be interesting is how Sanders puts everything together prior to April's Black and Gold Spring Game.
