Deion Sanders has never been shy when it comes to expressing his feelings about Travis Kelce.

The Colorado Buffaloes coach said last September the NFL superstar tight end was like a little brother to him and he was excited to see what comes next in his NFL career. It comes as no surprise he was rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Even with it coming against his former team, Coach Prime took pride in recognizing Kelce for the first touchdown of the game, saying he was "HIM" on X (Formerly Twitter).

Sanders has a few special ties to the Chiefs organization. Andy Reid is one of the top celebrities on his list and he gushed about receiving text messages from him after games this past season. Prime has a history with Reid going back to his early days as a player with the Dallas Cowboys in the mid-90s. Kansas City's coach will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day for his accomplishments, and might have Sanders in the crowd.

As for Kelce, he paid his respects to Sanders' for his accomplishments during last season. “Man, how fun has it been watching that guy," he said about Prime. It’s making college football so much more fun. It’s must-see TV." In a way, you can say that Coach Prime was just returning the compliment.

Kelce had a monster first half against the Ravens with 10 receptions for 102 yards and the score. He has caught nearly half of the passes thrown by Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City took a 17-7 lead going into halftime of the AFC Championship game. The defending champions are looking for their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.
