Deion Sanders was recovering from surgery late Friday, after a multiple-hour procedure to alleviate blood clots in both legs.

"We are so grateful for the healing power of God and for all of our prayer Warriors," Tracey Edmonds posted on Instagram on Friday. "It was a long, but successful day! (Deion) is resting and doing great tonight after his surgery! Thank you Lord! Thank you Fam! We love you!"

It is the tenth surgery for Sanders and second major hospitalization including the initial procedure two years ago to amputate two toes in his left foot. He addressed his condition with a two-minute video on Thursday saying," I'm having a procedure tomorrow to try and get those clots, so now I can have proper blood flow to the leg so they can fix the toes."

The initial injury causing the blood clots in Sanders' legs was a dislocated toe that went untreated for approximately 15 years.

Coach Prime, 55, was resting at UC Health at University of Colorado Anschutz following the procedure. He has been forthcoming about the next steps and hopes to have another operation on his left foot in the coming weeks. A team of doctors-- Dr. Donald Jacobs, Dr. Max Wohlauer, and Dr. Kenneth Hunt-- met with Sanders last week to discuss his options.

Colorado opens the 2023 season at TCU on Sept. 2. No timetable has been set for Sanders' return to the practice field.
