Duke Basketball Recruiters Contact Juan Guerrero Hernandez
Grafton (Wis.) combo guard Juan Guerrero Hernandez's only two reported offers are from Albany and Milwaukee. And he doesn't boast a rating or ranking on any of the major recruiting sites. But as of Thursday, the first day of the open contact period on the 2025 recruiting trail, the interested parties include the Duke basketball program.

That's not to mention a long list of other high-major schools, notably Kentucky, Michigan, Villanova, and Wisconsin, that all reached out to the 6-foot-4, 165-pound agile athlete on Thursday, according to 247Sports' Wisconsin insider, Evan Flood.
No doubt Hernandez's highlights, showing an explosive playmaker and creative finisher, suggest he should find his way into the top 100 among rising high school juniors sooner or later. After all, he earned a spot in last weekend's Nike Elite 100 Camp in St. Louis and will play for the Mexico U17 National Team this summer.
As a sophomore at Grafton, Juan Guerrero Hernandez enjoyed a breakout campaign, averaging 18.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
Meanwhile, the Duke basketball coaches look determined to land multiple guards from the 2025 cycle. It seems almost the entire handful of prospects who have reported getting a call or text from the Blue Devils on Thursday are either guards or wings.
Yet for now, Duke's four-deep 2025 offer sheet includes only two perimeter prospects: five-star point guard Meleek Thomas and four-star combo guard Cayden Boozer.

The other two offer recipients are the top two players in the class: five-star power forward Cameron Boozer and five-star small forward Cooper Flagg, respectively.
