Duke Basketball Joins Loaded Battle for Wisconsin Star
The Duke basketball coaches have officially entered the fray for Wisconsin Lutheran rising senior Kon Knueppel, 247Sports' Evan Flood tweeted on Sunday night.
Knueppel, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound five-star small forward who ranks No. 20 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, now boasts offers from almost half of the ACC and Big Ten, along with several others.
And he's recently noted his plan to name finalists soon. So perhaps the Blue Devils extended their offer just in the nick of time.

Although he's a versatile high-IQ weapon on offense and can hold his own on the other end of the floor, as Rivals' Russ Wood explained after watching him display his deft shooting at last week's NBPA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, Fla., "Knueppel's game starts with his jump shot."
Duke's offer may be on the late side, but it doesn't come as much of a surprise in light of Knueppel's reported interest out of Durham last week.
Furthermore, it seems Blue Devil head coach Jon Scheyer has prioritized sharpshooting wings on the 2024 recruiting trail, as he and his gang have already landed two of the best in that department in North Meck (N.C.) five-star Isaiah Evans and the Blue Devils' first 2024 commit, Paul VI Catholic (Va.) four-star Darren Harris.
To that point, Kon Knueppel was not the day's first 2024 Duke basketball offer recipient. Of course, the other, Long Island Lutheran (N.Y.) five-star wing VJ Edgecombe, is also a smooth-release shooting threat from deep.
