Perry High School (Ariz.) junior Koa Peat was up to almost three dozen offers. So, it only made sense for the 6-foot-8, 235-pound phenom to trim that list of hopefuls. He did so on Thursday, revealing a top 10 to On3's Joe Tipton and including the Duke basketball recruiters, who entered the fray for his five-star services in late August.

The other surviving contenders for Peat, who ranks No. 5 overall and No. 2 among power forwards on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, are Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, and UNC.

Thus far, he's taken official visits to UNC, Michigan, and Texas. He plans to visit other schools. However, he explained to Tipton that he hasn't decided which ones he'll check out yet.

Following the announcement of his top 10, 24/7 High School Hoops summarized what the winning suitor stands to receive in Peat:

"Peat is a tough, athletic, physical forward who guards multiple positions defensively and is a versatile offensive weapon."

Koa Peat, the son of former six-year NFL offensive lineman Todd Peat Sr., is on an eight-deep 2025 Duke basketball offer sheet. Jon Scheyer's other seven targets, including the cycle's top power forward in Cameron Boozer, son of Duke great Carlos Boozer, are also composite five-star talents ranking among the top 20 in the class.

None of those top-shelf recruits have committed anywhere or publicly eliminated the Blue Devils from contention.
