GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Just 18 days out from Florida's season-opening bout against the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City, the Gators returned to the practice field on Sunday for day 11 of fall camp.
The period snapped the trend of a growing participation report for UF as several key contributors saw their status upgraded, allowing them to perform drills with their position groups at a full or limited capacity.

Gators Fall Camp 2023: Day 11 Notes and Observations
- Florida's skill positions players worked with quarterbacks in multiple stations throughout the media viewing period, operating in a heightened capacity from the previous routes on air shown to this point. The operation included a variety of motions, bunch formations, delayed releases and routes working to the short side of the field.
- Quarterbacks were also heard vocally on Sunday, providing pre-snap cadences in certain stations.
- A handful of players saw their participation level make significant progress on Sunday's report compared to the last time reporters observed practice, on Thursday.
- Redshirt senior offensive lineman Lyndell Hudson II (concussion), redshirt sophomore linebacker Scooby Williams (unknown injury), redshirt junior cornerback Jaydon Hill (illness), junior cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. (unknown) and sophomore cornerback Devin Moore (upper body) were upgraded.
- Hudson, Hill and Marshall practiced in full after previously being limited or absent. Williams and Moore were limited drill participants, wearing no-contact jerseys, after being sidelined in recent practices.
- Additionally, junior tight end Jonathan Odom (knee) and redshirt freshman Arlis Boardingham (unknown) partook in individual drills while wearing no-contact jerseys.
- Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jack Miller III (unknown) — the lone new addition to the participation report Sunday — joined redshirt sophomore offensive tackle Kamryn Waites (Achilles) and walk-on freshman offensive tackle Andre Morris (unknown) performing rehabilitative drills with a trainer to the side of the practice field, in pads and no-contact jerseys.
- Sophomore linebacker Shemar James (knee) and freshman edge rusher Kelby Collins (unknown) were seen without pads on, performing rehabilitative drills to the side of the indoor practice field. Napier offered a 7-to-10-day return-to-practice timeline for James on Aug. 7, and said Collins " could be back sooner than later" on Aug. 11.
- Redshirt junior tight end Dante Zanders (lower-body) and freshman offensive tackle Caden Jones (unknown) remained absent. Napier estimated on Friday that Zanders would be out for "10 days or so."
- Below are two clips from the practice session, including a 20-plus-yard corner route from newly minted starting quarterback Graham Mertz to sophomore wideout Caleb Douglas.
